GMercyU’s Respiratory Care Program Recognized with CoARC’s Distinguished RRT Credentialing Success Award

Presented by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), GMercyU’s Respiratory Care Program was awarded with the Distinguished Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Credentialing Success Award. GMercyU is among a small cohort of programs to receive this award, which is presented to programs that achieve a 90% pass rate on the RRT exam.

Several other requirements are also required to receive the award, including three or more years of outcomes data, holding accreditation without a progress report, having documentation of 90% success rate on the RRT exam, and meeting the CoARC standards for TMC scores and retention.

“The faculty is honored to once again have our program recognized with this award. Most importantly, we are proud of our students’ accomplishments and their success on the credential examinations that made this recognition possible,” said Randy Solly, MS, RRT, RPFT, AE-C, Coordinator for the Respiratory Care Program.

The Distinguished RRT Credentialing Success Award is part of the continuing efforts of CoARC to demonstrate the value of the RRT credential as part of professional achievement. The award serves as a measure of respiratory care programs’ success in inspiring students to achieve their highest educational and professional goals.

Congratulations to the students, faculty, and staff of our Respiratory Care program!
